Haslemere - April 2013

We undertook a full scale renovation of this Grade 2 listed property which had lain uninhabited for over ten years. The property had suffered extensive flood damage and required a full strip and renovation to bring the property up to its obvious potential. Timber beams and internal brickwork walls were brought back to life using sympathetic processes. Natural springs beneath the sub floors were redirected via a French drain and UFH was installed to a partially breathable floor. Lime plaster was applied throughout and finished with a clay based paint allowing the building to breathe. A handmade kitchen was fitted with chunky oak reclaimed worktop to finish the transformation. The grounds were landscaped using a locally sourced stone and reclaimed brick quoins. An oak frame garage was built using reclaimed tiles and oak feather edge.

Matt Cox is the first and only builder I have, without hesitation, recommended to others. Matt worked for three months on our home, arriving on time every day and never leaving before a particular phase was completed and properly cleaned up. His wide range of first class building and carpentry skills means that he can take on virtually any task guaranteeing a perfect result. Matt also has an impressive list of experts upon whom he can call if required.
